To prepare for this party I made bridesmaids binders for each girl, each personalized and detailed on everything they should know. I ordered bridesmaid tee shirts. Then my made of honor and I made wedding themed cookies. We placed all these goodies in a gift bag and each girl got one at the end of the tea party. There were two missing so I mailed them a box with tea bags and the gifts the other girls received.
The finished product!
The tea party was at Veronica’s doll house, which is an amazing place that hosts tea party’s. It’s really cute and inside is made to look like a doll house.
To start the tea party we all were able to choose these beautiful hats that helped us get in to character. There were party games and yummy tea sandwiches.
I love my bridesmaids and can’t wait for the big day!

My last post was a review of a wedding planning book. Honestly, I own 3 different kinds. Additionally, I plan using the knot and wedding wire (both are great websites) however, I find that these books and websites don’t have exactly what I want. Its like I am constantly switching between sites, pages etc. I am a planning whore, I abuse Siri, I simultaneously use my iPad, iphone and mac to plan, I have a desk calendar, a wall calendar and a hello kitty school planner. To top it off I have a million post it notes!! I know I have a problem….
Being frustrated with my wedding planning books I decided to make my own, this way I will have exactly what I wanted! Genius!! I started googling templates that I could use when I stumbled across a perfect! I mean AMAZING google doc! It had everything and it was customizable! I could make edits and save it on my google drive and I could even share the pages, and I could have other people edit it as well! It was like I found gold!!!
I picked up The brides essential wedding planner at my local books store. Another girlfriend swore by it. The pro: It is divided into sections. It has pockets to put things. And there are tons of worksheets The cons: It … Continue reading →
My best friends are my backbone. Each one has their purpose. I’ve been friends with each for a long time. So I wanted this to be special and unique.
For this project I went to my local dollar store= dollar tree. Inside the box was an invitation to my bridal tea party and a ring pop.
Danielle- she is my sidekick, we do everything together. She came over my house on a Sunday to go to the gym. We drove my car to the gym and my sister filled her car with balloons. When we got back I surprised her!
Melissa- she is my relationship therapist. For her I surprised her with balloons at work.
Milla- she is my go to girl. For her, I had a friend take her out while I filled her room with balloons!
Mikie- she is my oldest and best friend. she was out of town so I shipped her proposal to her
Mimi- she is my oldest sister. For her I asked her w a cookie 🙂
I’m so excited for this wedding and I am so happy that I will have my best friends besides me.
OMG my wedding is 8 months away, and I have Absolutely nothing! Crunch time! Currently I am making appointments with vendors, but to kick things of I decided to ask each of my girls in a special unique way. And each was invited to the bridal tea party. So first task was making the bridesmaids books that they were getting as a part of their gifts 🙂
I went to target
And picked up some cute polka dot binders! When I saw them in the aisle. It was love at first sight! To go with the binders I got pretty paper, tabs, pens and post it notes.
I created the following tabs:
Calendar: I printed a Calendar for all the months leading to the big day
Contacts: Here I had a sheet with important vendor numbers, party member numbers and parent information
Duties: This page was customized to each girls title, such as maid of honor or bridesmaid
Checklist: Was a timeline and a list of all the things they needed to do (and again this was customized by title)
Your task: Was left blank. Here the girls could write their own tasks.
I promise: Here I wrote a sentimental letter and a pelage to the girls, basically that I would not be a bridezilla.
The Big Day: Right now that page is empty. But as I finalize information I will let the girls know.
If anyone wants templates to these documents, please comment below and I will put them up in a post!
I am getting married in April which is 9 months away, and I am not at my ideal weigh or body. I want to look good in my dress and make a lifestyle change that will stay with me. I feel like once you hit 25 everything starts going down hill! You can’t eat what you want anymore and it all just goes to your hips! I Miss my teenage days when I could eat French fries and pizza all day everyday and still had a flat belly and could wear a size 2!!!
Those days are long gone! Humans are creatures of habit and its hard to break a habit. My weakness is Oreos, French fries, hamburgers and juice. For me it is difficult to eat right when I’m in “study mode”! But that is about to change!
Today at the groceries I replaced some items. I got whole grain wheat bread, and brown sugar and lots of fruits in veggies! It’s hard to replace your whole fridge! So start by changing a few things at a time.
No more whole milk–> drink 1% or 2% milk or just cut milk out!
No white anything!( white bread, white sugar, white flour)
Use olive oil! Greek yogurt and applesauce are great substitutes!
Stay away from process foods and items that have more than 5 ingredients. And if you never heard of the ingredient you should prob stay away!
Another thing that I am trying is eating out less. Many meals at restaurants have waaaaay to many calories! Who need 800 calories for lunch?!? Not me!
Hope these tips help! And I will update you guys on my progress 🙂
